English Language Programs

Initial contact
As with the French language program, entry to each level is determined in advance through consultation with the student and initial testing in writing, reading, speaking and listening skills.

From day one in the program the student will learn the language that native speakers of English use in all areas of life and work. As the student progresses through the various program levels, he/she will be able to build confidence in speaking, understanding and writing English and thereby develop a high level of communicative and interactive language skills.

Enhanced language level
For the more advanced students of English, there is the possibility of opting for one or more of our specialist programs under the “enhanced business communication skills” umbrella. These deal with such topics as developing personal presentation, leadership and management skills, advanced business writing as well as many others. For more information on these additional programs please consult our section on Other Services.

Supporting material
Course books are tailor made for each learning level introducing the student to everyday expressions of the English language and allowing him or her to communicate effectively in a variety of work and social situations. Easy to understand grammar explanations are clearly illustrated and supported by multiple examples and a variety of written and oral exercises as well as audio recordings aimed at improving pronunciation and fluency.

In addition to course books, the student is encouraged to engage in realistic conversations with the instructor and work colleagues on all aspects of everyday life. Furthermore, the student is taught how to use appropriate gestures and body language when speaking in different situations to enable more natural and effective communication and help overcome cultural challenges that may exist in the business or social environment.

What we charge
Course fees depend on the number of students in the class and the duration of the program but remain very competitive when compared to other language schools.

As with the other programs available at ELS, they are all inclusive of course materials and travel costs.
